Multidisciplinary Artist

Born in Ethiopia and adopted at the age of seven, Tagesech moved to the Netherlands in 2011. She spent her childhood moving between countries where her parents worked, growing up in a richly multicultural environment. Through her artwork, she explores her Ethio-American identity and seeks to reconcile the cultural disconnects brought about by her upbringing. Her work delves into themes of identity, heritage, and the complex history of her African ancestors. Combining modern and classical techniques, her style produces a distinctive range of multidisciplinary creations.
